THE LEADING CURVE REPORT

Oregon Futures Lab (OFL)  released The Leading Curve, a report highlighting the experiences of BIPOC elected and appointed leaders across Oregon and the barriers they faced while in public leadership.

Building on our 2023 Ambassadors Report, this new report draws from in-depth interviews with a dozen BIPOC elected and appointed leaders serving state and local government across Oregon about the realities of working in public leadership. 

Participants shared experiences of burnout, isolation, exclusion and lack of institutional support. They also shared lessons-learned, as well as strategies and recommendations for building healthier conditions for the next wave of BIPOC leaders in Oregon.
