2024 CANDIDATE ENDORSEMENT INFORMATION

ENDORSEMENT CRITERIA

OFL uses the following criteria to determine an endorsement:

  • Lived experience as a Black, Indigenous, or other Person of Color - with a focus on candidates with intersectional lived experience;

  • Candidates with clear priorities to address core issues concerning Oregon’s BIPOC communities;

  • Candidates who have the support of a BIPOC-led community organization building power for BIPOC communities in Oregon;

  • Candidates who are committed to the values of OFL.

2024 ENDORSEMENT process

We will be reviewing applications for the May 2024 election until 5pm on Friday, April 26th. We will open up our endorsement form for November 2024 applications in the summer. Please email naomi@oregonfutureslab.org with any questions about our endorsement process.

CAMPAIGN SUPPORT

Contributions will be prioritized to Black and Indigenous candidates running for local office. Candidate support in the 2024 election cycle will be limited to in-kind services and some campaign contributions for candidates running in Local (City, County or special districts) positions.
